Saying Good-bye The southern air was heavy as I said my last good-bye when from the woods beyond flew a yellow butterfly. In my mind I wondered as I gazed at the broken sod could this be the wings of an Angel to carry you home to God? My body began to tremble as tears filled my eyes then through the mist I saw it again...that yellow butterfly. It's delicate wings fluttered as it hovered above your grave as if to let me know... not to be afraid then it soared above you as the final words were said it was then I knew the spirit lives and only the flesh is dead. Always look around you never, never say to any living creature please just go away for he may come as a begger or a bird high in the sky 'cause on this day he came for you as a yellow butterfly.
