My Cheating Heart

My Cheating Heart

Today I cheated on my husband
I feel very bad about that
but God I couldn't help it
maybe it was that darn sailor hat.

Eyes that are young and sexy
teeth as white as snow
what made me want to do that
Lord I'll never know.

Here I am in my fifties
I've fell for a kid of nineteen
oh but he is so handsome
makes me feel young again.

I have a wonderful husband
I should be ashamed of myself
so I'll just take this young picture of him
and lay it face down on the shelf.
